Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Holdren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buck Holdren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Johnson! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holdren connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Holdren with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Holdren tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Holdren lands with a thumping leg kick.
Holdren throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily. Johnson throws a good cross that connects.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice body kick from Holdren. Holdren misses the jab. Holdren uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Holdren is looking to land body kicks. Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nice shot lands for Holdren.
It looks like Bob Johnson has been cut. Bob Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holdren fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Johnson checks it well. Nice defenses there by Holdren.

Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Holdren. A big right from Holdren misses. Johnson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Holdren misses with a looping left. Johnson with a hook. A slow jab from Johnson misses its intended target. Holdren looks to land a right hand but Johnson moved out of range. Johnson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Holdren tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson blocks a leg kick. Holdren closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Holdren.

Johnson looks gassed! Holdren thows a body kick. Johnson tries to catch it but that hurt him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd cheers as Holdren lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though. A head kick misses from Holdren. Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Holdren sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Holdren takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Holdren scores with a head kick.
That has opened up Bob Johnson's cut even more. Johnson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Holdren can pounce on him.
Johnson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Holdren is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holdren swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Holdren misses with a straight right. A jab from Holdren misses. A big left from Johnson misses. Johnson misses the jab. Holdren scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Holdren tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Holdren throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Holdren throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Johnson's head. Johnson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The cut above Bob Johnson's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Holdren scores with a crisp jab that stopped Johnson in his tracks. Johnson misses with a straight right. Holdren tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buck Holdren dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Johnson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Holdren cracks Johnson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Holdren ducks under a wild hook from Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Holdren. Holdren walks into a jab. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Holdren takes a shot to the body in his stride.

enabling Holdren to counter with a crisp jab. A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target. Johnson moves away from the strike by Holdren. Good shot there by Johnson. Johnson looks to throw the jab but Holdren is out of range. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Holdren - that will leave a mark!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Holdren is looking to chop away at Johnson's legs. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Johnson there as he acknowledges the shot. Holdren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick misses from Holdren. Holdren connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnson momentarily.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Johnson walks into a jab. Johnson thows a body shot but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holdren scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Holdren misses with a looping right. Holdren feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holdren off to one side. Holdren pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A punch lands to the side of Johnson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Holdren is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around? Holdren slips a straight right by Johnson. Johnson slips a jab from Holdren. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Johnson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Johnson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bob Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holdren throws a nice outside leg kick. Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Holdren motions for Johnson to come forward. Holdren throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Holdren lands with a cross.
Bob Johnson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Johnson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Johnson throws a jab when Holdren was well out of range. Holdren ducks under a wild hook from Johnson. Johnson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Johnson blocks a head kick by Holdren.

and Holdren counters with a nice low kick that buckles Johnson's knee momentarily. Good exchange - Holdren coming out on top. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Holdren lands a jab-cross combination.
