Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderleys Silvas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Bordes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wanderleys Silvas had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderleys Silvas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Bordes! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bordes dives in and grabs Silvas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silvas pushes down on Bordes's head and hops out. Bordes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silvas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bordes tries to free his leg and advance position but Silvas is retaining full guard. Silvas keeping moving, preventing Bordes from controlling successfully. Silvas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bordes prevents Silvas from getting back to his feet. Bordes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bordes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bordes's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Bordes is pushing down on Silvas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silvas is fighting to maintain full guard but Bordes has managed to sneak the leg through. Silvas is not content to let Bordes control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bordes. Silvas is looking for a sweep. Bordes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bordes uses his free foot to push down on Silvas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silvas. Silvas wants to hold on but Bordes pushes him away. Bordes has hold of Silvas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silvas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bordes raining down shots from the mount! Bordes looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silvas trying desperately to get to his feet.
Bordes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silvas is looking to escape. Silvas blocking the ground and pound. Bordes tries to control but Silvas wriggling away. Silvas tries to lock up and control but Bordes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bordes thowing shots but they're missing. Bordes misses with a head shot. Silvas is wriggling around trying to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Bordes there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Bordes throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Bordes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Silvas tries to lock up and control but Bordes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Silvas working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silvas is looking to improve his position but Bordes isn't that keen on the idea. Bordes throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Bordes avoids the attempt from Silvas to control. Silvas is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Bordes dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Silvas clinches. Silvas is working for takedown but Bordes is calmly controlling the position for now. Silvas manages to break the clinch.
Bordes tries for a takedown but Silvas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silvas. Silvas with a hook. Silvas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silvas throws a quick inside leg kick. Bordes shoots in but Silvas avoids the takedown attempt easily. Silvas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bordes as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderleys Silvas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silvas throws a nice head kick!
Silvas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Bordes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Silvas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvas tries to roll over but Bordes keeps him under control. Bordes trying to control from half guard but Silvas is working away. Silvas trying to hold on to Bordes's head to control him but Bordes postures up.
Bordes is pressing down on Silvas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silvas is holding on for now. Silvas wants to improve his position but Bordes is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silvas wants to get back to his feet.
Bordes blocks the strikes from Silvas.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silvas misses with a head kick.
Bordes fails to land the takedown. Silvas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silvas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Silvas lands a high kick!
Bordes pushes Silvas up against the cage in a clinch. Silvas tries to break the clinch but Bordes is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bordes is working for takedown but Silvas is calmly controlling the position for now. Silvas scores a nice knee to the body.
Silvas has had enough of the clinch but Bordes keeps him there for the moment. Silvas stops a takedown attempt from Bordes.
Bordes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silvas prevents it.
Bordes jumps guard but Silvas stands there with Bordes around his waist. Bordes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bordes controls Silvas momentarily but Silvas frees himself. Silvas won't allow Bordes to sweep him here. Bordes looking for a guillotine here but Silvas defends easily.
Bordes has a closed guard, preventing Silvas from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bordes wants to sweep here but Silvas controlling him for the moment. Silvas trying to control but Bordes is working from the bottom. Silvas preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silvas gets in close and instigates a clinch. Silvas wants to break free but Bordes has control.
Silvas looking for a takedown. Silvas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bordes just stands there and leans against the cage. Silvas fails to pull guard.
Silvas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bordes jumps guard but Silvas stands there with Bordes around his waist. Bordes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Wanderleys Silvas will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Silvas tries to clinch but Bordes is having none of it. Silvas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Silvas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bordes's head backwards. Silvas shoots in and drives through. Bordes sprawls well. Bordes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silvas, pushing him back against the cage. Silvas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bordes.

Bordes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Silvas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Silvas is staying active underneath Bordes, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bordes not landing any meaningful shots this time. Silvas is trying to stand up here but Bordes is controlling him well. Silvas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bordes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silvas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bordes. Bordes thows a huge punch but Silvas dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silvas fails to land the takedown. Silvas tries to clinch up. Bordes misses with a takedown attempt - Silvas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Silvas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silvas leaves Bordes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wanderleys Silvas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Bordes. Silvas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bordes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silvas tries to avoid it but Bordes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silvas to the ground. Silvas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A head kick misses from Silvas. Bordes shoots in but Silvas avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bordes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Silvas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silvas wants to clinch but Bordes slips to the side and Bordes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bordes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silvas sees it coming and defends easily. Silvas won't allow Bordes to pass to mount. Silvas holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bordes thows a huge punch but Silvas dodges it nicely.
Bordes missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bordes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Silvas is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Bordes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bordes takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Silvas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bordes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silvas's guard. Bordes trying to control the position from guard on top but Silvas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bordes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Andre Bordes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bordes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
