Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bronzio Pakuassado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Blanka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pakuassado might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rocky Balboa. Blanka has chosen Imma do it - Fabolous as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bronzio Pakuassado! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Blanka! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blanka misses with a takedown attempt - Pakuassado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A punch combination from Pakuassado misses. Pakuassado throws the kick towards the body but Blanka avoids it. Pakuassado misses with a wild combination.
Pakuassado wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blanka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pakuassado.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blanka swats away the attempt to clinch by Pakuassado. Blanka showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pakuassado.
Pakuassado moves in looking to clinch but Blanka pushes him off. Pakuassado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Blanka! Pakuassado prevents Blanka from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pakuassado controlling his opponent. Pakuassado trying to control but he's not successful this time. Blanka regains half guard. Pakuassado controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blanka is refusing to be controlled, as Pakuassado sits in half guard. Pakuassado is working for a submission of some sort.
Blanka looking for submissions off his back. Pakuassado working Blanka over with strikes. Pakuassado is keen to just control but Blanka is a slippery customer. Blanka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pakuassado pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blanka looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Blanka looks gassed! Pakuassado is figuring out what he wants to do next. Blanka looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pakuassado tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Blanka. Blanka is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pakuassado scores with a couple of nice shots. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pakuassado tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pakuassado fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blanka sprawls well initially but Pakuassado persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bronzio Pakuassado dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blanka fails with the takedown and Pakuassado counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blanka's guard now. Pakuassado looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pakuassado trying to control but Blanka is working from the bottom. Blanka working for a triangle but Pakuassado defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pakuassado wants to control from the top but Blanka keeps moving. Blanka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pakuassado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pakuassado pushing down on Blanka's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Pakuassado is figuring out what he wants to do next. Blanka is looking for a sweep. Pakuassado is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pakuassado moves into full mount! Blanka won't be happy about that! Pakuassado with a couple of short strikes. Blanka really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Blanka is breathing heavily. Pakuassado raining down shots from the mount! Pakuassado tries to control but Blanka wriggling away. Pakuassado fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pakuassado is in the full mount, landing strikes. Pakuassado prevents Blanka from getting the reversal. A nice elbow there by Pakuassado. Blanka can't escape the position.
Pakuassado tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Blanka working to try and regain half guard.

Pakuassado jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Blanka manages to avoid the submission attempt. Pakuassado controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blanka tries to bench press Pakuassado off him but Pakuassado keeps the position. Pakuassado wants to control but Blanka is keeping him busy. Blanka is looking for a sweep. Pakuassado decides to stand up, so the ref orders Blanka to his feet. Pakuassado fails with the takedown and Blanka moves into the clinch. Pakuassado jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blanka walks away with a smile on his face. Pakuassado gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bronzio Pakuassado dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pakuassado tries to clinch and Blanka counters by moving into the clinch. Pakuassado looking for a takedown. Pakuassado tries to land a knee to the head but Blanka blocks with his arms.
Pakuassado has had enough of the clinch but Blanka keeps him there for the moment. Pakuassado tries to break free but Blanka pushes him back against the cage. Blanka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blanka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Blanka working for a triangle but Pakuassado defends it easily.
Bronzio Pakuassado overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pakuassado controls from within his opponent's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pakuassado trying to control the position from guard on top but Blanka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blanka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pakuassado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pakuassado slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Blanka manages to get back to half guard. Pakuassado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blanka does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pakuassado is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blanka has managed to free his arm - good work. Blanka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pakuassado pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blanka looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Pakuassado is looking to take a break and control but Blanka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pakuassado is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Blanka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Pakuassado is really struggling to control Blanka but he's trying to hold on to the position. Blanka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pakuassado throws a lazy head kick and Blanka counters with a single leg into guard. Pakuassado didn't expect that. Pakuassado is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pakuassado trying to keep a closed guard but Blanka is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blanka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pakuassado keeping full guard, as Blanka tries to pass. Pakuassado is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Blanka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blanka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pakuassado doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Pakuassado can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pakuassado seems keen to control Blanka's posture. Pakuassado keeping full guard, as Blanka tries to pass. Pakuassado wants to stand up but Blanka is controlling him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blanka postures up in Pakuassado's guard and throws a big left but Pakuassado blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Blanka dominated that fourth round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Pakuassado is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Blanka is controlling him.

Blanka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Pakuassado is trying to control Blanka's posture but Blanka avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pakuassado trying to control but Blanka flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Blanka looking for the choke but no joy. Blanka lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Pakuassado.
Blanka is not going to allow Pakuassado to sit and survive in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pakuassado manages to reverse the position and now he's in Blanka's guard. Nice work there by Pakuassado.

The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Pakuassado advances to half guard. Pakuassado is controlling the pace.
