The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy lands a left and a right that send Cruz crashing to the mat, dazed. Hardy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Benedict Cruz has been cut.
Cruz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Horrible takedown by Cruz or perhaps it was just good defense by Hardy which made him look bad.

Cruz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hardy avoids it really well and circles away.

Hardy drops Cruz with a beautiful combination! Cruz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hardy is looking for the KO!

Hardy dances in with a quick combination. Cruz is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hardy snaps Cruz's head back. Cruz stumbles backwards against the cage. Hardy steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Cruz's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Cruz just didn't come prepared.
