Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ron Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huerta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Summer of 69. Gracie has chosen Deadmau5 - Some Chords as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Huerta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julio Gracie! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huerta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Huerta off to one side. Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Huerta paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gracie misses with a low kick as Huerta jumps back. Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Huerta but Huerta pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gracie has a takedown stuffed. Huerta shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard. Huerta thows a big elbow that misses. Huerta is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Huerta throwing strikes but missing. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Huerta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Huerta preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huerta lands a couple of elbows. Huerta throws a big right hand that misses. Gracie keeping full guard, as Huerta tries to pass. Huerta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gracie is desperately trying to improve his position but Huerta has a good base and remains in mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huerta lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. This has been an exciting period of action! Huerta has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gracie's face.

Huerta is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Huerta breaks from Gracie's wrist control and lands an elbow. Gracie is in a horrible position here. Huerta smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The referee warns Gracie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gracie throwing hammer fists to the chest of Huerta. What's that going to do exactly? Huerta is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gracie is bucking up trying to escape but Huerta cracks him with another couple of good strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Huerta dominated that round. The cut man is working on Julio Gracie's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gracie blocks a jab. Huerta misses with a takedown attempt and Gracie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Huerta crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gracie - the referee stops the clock and Huerta gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gracie. Huerta manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Huerta tries for a takedown but Gracie circles away easily and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Gracie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gracie lands with a punch from half guard. Huerta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Huerta is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Huerta is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie wants to get up but he can't break Huerta's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Huerta works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie trying to control but Huerta is working from the bottom. Huerta has Gracie pulled in close to control his posture.

Gracie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Huerta holds on and takes a little breather. Huerta is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Huerta working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gracie. Huerta has his hands on Gracie's head, controlling the position. Ron Huerta overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Huerta wants to sweep but no luck. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Huerta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Huerta manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Huerta's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Huerta wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Huerta darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Huerta connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple. Gracie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Huerta scores with a couple of nice shots. Gracie throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Gracie is trying to get back to full guard. Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Huerta wants to pass to mount but Gracie is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huerta slips a nice elbow through Gracie's hands, connecting with Gracie's forehead. Huerta is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Huerta working over Gracie with some ground and pound. Gracie looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Huerta lands a nice short elbow. Gracie gets back to full guard.

Huerta wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Huerta misses with a takedown attempt and Gracie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Huerta's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Huerta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Huerta keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Huerta is controlling Gracie's posture. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gracie trying to control but Huerta is working from the bottom. Huerta doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Huerta's guard. Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Huerta pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie won't allow Huerta to sweep him here. Huerta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gracie is looking for a triangle here but Huerta uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Gracie wants to get back to full guard. Huerta is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gracie is looking to improve his position.

And that's the end of the fight! Julio Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
