Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Vickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Kot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vickson comes to the cage accompanied by Can't be Touched. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Quinton Vickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tomas Kot!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Vickson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vickson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kot some visible discomfort.
Kot is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vickson off and has taken his back!
Vickson breaks Kot's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vickson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kot lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vickson!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vickson slaps away a takedown attempt from Kot, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Vickson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Vickson winds up and cracks Kot with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vickson working over Kot with some ground and pound. Kot looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vickson is working away from the top position though.

Kot has his foot on Vickson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vickson works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Quinton Vickson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Vickson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kot looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kot sneaks back into half guard.
Vickson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kot is trying to maintain the position but Vickson is very close to passing his half guard.
Kot tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Kot keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Kot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kot is on top in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A nice elbow there by Vickson.
Kot regains half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vickson connects with a nice short shot to Kot's temple.
Kot looks like he's trying to stand up.
Quinton Vickson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vickson lands a nice short elbow.
Vickson prevents Kot from standing back up.
Vickson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Vickson is thwarting Kot's attempts to control the position.

Tomas Kot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vickson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quinton Vickson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vickson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
