Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randall Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JJ CQ! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! CQ shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Miller sprawls well. Miller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. CQ gets slowly back to his feet. Miller circles away from the clinch attempt.
CQ tries to clinch up. CQ scores with a spinning back kick! CQ doesn't manage to clinch there - Miller circles away.
CQ shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Miller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Miller shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Miller was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Miller prevents CQ from getting the reversal. Miller is working for a guillotine from mount but CQ frees his head quite easily.
CQ is looking to improve his position but Miller isn't that keen on the idea. Miller controlling his opponent. Miller wants to finish this one by submission but CQ is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Miller.
That's one minute gone in the round. CQ is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Miller tries to control but CQ wriggling away. CQ swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. CQ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller trying to control but CQ is having none of it. Miller is breathing heavily. CQ flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. CQ throwing hammer fists to the chest of Miller. What's that going to do exactly? CQ is trying desperately to improve position. Miller has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! CQ is forced to tap!
