Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.

Smith shoots in but Moniuszko avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smith gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Moniuszko to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Moniuszko passes Smith's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Moniuszko connects with a nice short shot to Smith's temple.
Smith preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moniuszko is working away from the top position though.
Moniuszko is pressing down on Smith's thigh, looking to free his foot. Smith is holding on for now.

Moniuszko lands with a punch from half guard.

Moniuszko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Moniuszko has Smith in his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moniuszko wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.

Smith is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moniuszko defends it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Moniuszko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smith with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Moniuszko fails with the takedown
and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Moniuszko's guard.
Moniuszko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Moniuszko is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Scott Smith will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Smith breaks from the clinch.

Moniuszko throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely.

so Smith counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Smith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Moniuszko looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Moniuszko is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and Moniuszko can pop his arm back in it's socket.
