Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Nielson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladislav Kyznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Patrick Nielson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladislav Kyznetsov! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nielson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Nielson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Nielson drops back looking for a leg! Kyznetsov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kyznetsov manages to kick Nielson off! Nielson jumps back into Kyznetsov's guard. Nielson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kyznetsov manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Nielson has his foot on Kyznetsov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kyznetsov works his way back into a safe position though. Nielson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kyznetsov wants to pass the guard but Nielson is keeping the position. Nielson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nielson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kyznetsov passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nielson looking for submissions off his back. Nielson tries to roll over but Kyznetsov keeps him under control. Kyznetsov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Nielson is trying to reverse the position but instead Kyznetsov has taken his back - oops! You can see the frustration on Nielson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Nielson turns into Kyznetsov and is now in his guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nielson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kyznetsov has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Nielson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kyznetsov has tightened it up now! Nielson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vladislav Kyznetsov!
