Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda tries to close the distance and clinch but Aoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A head kick by Aoki - that's a beauty! Maeda is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Aoki can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
