The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitz misses with a series of wild punches.
Martinez looks to land a combination but Hitz avoids it well.

Hitz lands a high kick to the side of Martinez's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Hitz dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Mario Martinez has been cut.
Hitz working some strikes from top position.

Martinez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hitz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hitz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hitz lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Martinez is rocked!

Hitz loads up on a big left hand. Martinez felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hitz looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Martinez can't hide his disappointment, as Hitz celebrates the victory.
