Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bute.
Hiro walks into a stiff left hand from Bute.
Hiroshimo Hiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hiro slips a jab and a cross from Bute.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hiro is defended easily by Bute.
Hiro tries for a takedown but Bute sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bute darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hiro is trying to stand back up but Bute is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bute is thwarting Hiro's attempts to control the position.
Hiro is refusing to be controlled, as Bute sits in half guard.
Hiro avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bute.

Bute is looking for a kimura but Hiro is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bute to get the leverage.
Bute throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bute is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hiro is trying to stand up here but Bute is controlling him well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bute shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hiro's guard.

Bute is looking to work some ground and pound but Hiro has wrist control.

Bute won't let Hiro get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Hiro wants to hold on but Bute pushes him away.

Hiro is squirming around, avoiding Bute's attempts to control the action.
Bute is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hiro has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hiro!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bute escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hiro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hiro distracts Bute with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bute is trying to control the position from the bottom.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bute is on top in guard.
Bute wants to control from the top but Hiro keeps moving.
Hiro looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bute puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A looping hook to the body misses from Hiro. Bute does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hiro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bute throws a hook but Hiro blocks it.

Bute fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hiro on the side of the head.
Bute takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bute shoots in for a takedown but Hiro shows good takedown defense.
Bute lands with a nice combination. Hiro backs away looking to recover.
Bute connects with a looping right hand.
Hiro walks into a straight right hand from Bute.
Hiro lands with a hook. Bute tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bute throws a right and a left that both miss.

Hiro misses with a takedown
and Bute counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lucian Bute has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiroshimo Hiro.
Hiro is breathing heavily.
Hiro fails to land with a series of punches.
Hiro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bute lands a nice hook to Hiro's body. Hiro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hiro looks to land a combination. Bute sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lucian Bute is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hiro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bute.
Hiro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bute defends it nicely.
Hiro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bute to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bute landing some decent shots from guard.

Bute drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Bute as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Hiro screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Bute! Nice submission victory there!
