Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrese Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis comes to the cage accompanied by Karate by Tenacious D. Thomas has chosen Dream Shatterer as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyrese Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Thomas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ellis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Thomas throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Thomas postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Thomas fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Sloppy strikes there by Thomas.
Thomas working the ground and pound but Ellis is defending the strikes.
The ground and pound from Thomas seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thomas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ellis circles away.
Ellis lands a with a good body shot.
Tyrese Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas looks gassed!
Thomas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ellis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ellis.

Ellis cracks Thomas with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ellis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Thomas to stand back up!

It looks like Tyrese Thomas has been cut.
Ellis darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Thomas is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellis connects with a nice cross there... Thomas is looking wobbly and Ellis recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Thomas to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Ellis jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
