Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Timmons pinned against the cage. Timmons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Phillips stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Phillips wants it to stay on the feet.
Phillips fails with the takedown
and Timmons counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Timmons throws a big right hand that misses.
Timmons sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Timmons won't allow Phillips to sweep him here.

Timmons passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Phillips taking punishment in the form of punches.
Timmons is putting a hurting on Phillips here, landing some big shots from side control.
Timmons has hold of Phillips's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Phillips seems comfortable defending it but Timmons has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Phillips is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Phillips is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Timmons couldn't care less - he's delighted!
