Penn cracks Fitch with a good jab.
Penn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Paul Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fitch is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fitch throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Penn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Crunch! Penn slams his shin into Fitch's torso.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fitch lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Penn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fitch was well out of range. Poor timing from Penn.

Fitch ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Penn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fitch to score with a decent uppercut.
Penn is rocked!
Fitch drops Penn with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Penn! Fitch dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
