Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cindy Crosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Vasiliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Vasiliev!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasiliev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vasiliev looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Crosby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Vasiliev counters with a shoot takedown. Crosby fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vasiliev stands and steps away. Crosby gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Crosby fails with the takedown
so Vasiliev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Crosby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vasiliev throwing strikes but missing.

Crosby is trying to control the position but Vasiliev postures up.
Vasiliev tries to free his leg and advance position but Crosby is retaining full guard.
Vasiliev loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Vasiliev drops back looking for a leg! Crosby is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Crosby manages to kick Vasiliev off! Vasiliev jumps back into Crosby's guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crosby misses with a takedown attempt
and Vasiliev counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Vasiliev uses his free foot to push down on Crosby's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Crosby.
Vasiliev working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Vasiliev tries to control but Crosby wriggling away.
Crosby is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Vasiliev looking to isolate an arm here. Crosby doesn't see it coming and as Vasiliev extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Vasiliev!
