Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julian Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Chinatown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valdez comes to the cage accompanied by so amazing. Chinatown has chosen Cocaine in my brain - Dillinger as his entrance music. Julian Valdez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Valdez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie Chinatown! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chinatown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Valdez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Valdez is looking to reverse the position. Valdez regains half guard. Chinatown keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Valdez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chinatown pulls his head out easily. Chinatown not doing much here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chinatown is taking a breather. Valdez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Chinatown is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. I looks like Chinatown might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Chinatown must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Valdez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Valdez is fighting to maintain full guard but Chinatown has managed to sneak the leg through. Chinatown with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Charlie Chinatown just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chinatown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Valdez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Chinatown landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Valdez seems a little lost for a moment, as Chinatown dominates the positioning. Valdez tries to improve position but can't. You can see the frustration on Valdez's face as Chinatown controls the position.

The referee asks Chinatown politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Chinatown prefers to stall for the moment though. Chinatown works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Chinatown content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Chinatown scores with punches from side control. Valdez is looking for a sweep. Chinatown lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Chinatown is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Valdez's shoulder. That is not cool. Chinatown scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Valdez to see if he's OK. Valdez is not in a great position here, taking some shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Chinatown dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Chinatown shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Valdez's guard. Chinatown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Chinatown trying to control the position from guard on top but Valdez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Valdez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chinatown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chinatown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Chinatown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Valdez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chinatown has managed to get both his arms back between Valdez's legs - danger averted. Chinatown is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chinatown is nestled in close to Valdez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Chinatown performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Chinatown has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valdez keeping full guard, as Chinatown tries to pass. Chinatown not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Valdez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chinatown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Valdez being controlled here, momentarily.

You can't force these things though and Chinatown defends well. Chinatown is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Valdez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chinatown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Chinatown looking to control and managing it successfully. Valdez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Chinatown has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chinatown controlling the pace for now. Julian Valdez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Chinatown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chinatown has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
