Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ali Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh McCuistion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman's entrance music is Truth Is. A fine choice. McCuistion comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sunken Hips in Space kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ali Newman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh McCuistion!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Newman. McCuistion does a little dance to reset his feet.
Newman lands a with a good body shot.
Newman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McCuistion doesn't manage to clinch there - Newman circles away.
McCuistion looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Newman lands with a straight right. McCuistion didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Josh McCuistion has been cut.
A left lands for Newman.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCuistion closes the distance and clinches.
Newman wants to break the clinch but can't.
McCuistion throws an elbow but it misses.
McCuistion can't find room to land a body shot as Newman controls the action.
McCuistion leaning his opponent against the cage.
A knee to the head by McCuistion.
It looks like Ali Newman has been cut.
Newman is trying to force a seperation but McCuistion has the dominant position.
McCuistion pulls Newman into guard.
McCuistion has his foot on Newman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Newman works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McCuistion throws his legs up looking for a submission but Newman uses it to pass to side control.
Newman wants to stand but McCuistion is controlling his arm.
McCuistion gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Newman seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Newman prevents McCuistion from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McCuistion is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
McCuistion looking for submissions off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McCuistion tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McCuistion is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McCuistion ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Newman lands a left and a right that send McCuistion crashing to the mat, dazed. Newman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Newman cracks McCuistion with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Newman has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McCuistion to stand back up!
McCuistion is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Newman lands an uppercut, right on the button! McCuistion tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ali Newman!
