Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khabukthakar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ivan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khabukthakar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khabukthakar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ivan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Khabukthakar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khabukthakar throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ivan escapes and throws Khabukthakar's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Ivan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ivan wants to improve his position but Khabukthakar is controlling well.

Ivan manages to get to full guard.
Khabukthakar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ivan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ivan shoots and misses
and Khabukthakar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ivan's guard now.
Khabukthakar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ivan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khabukthakar has managed to get both his arms back between Ivan's legs - danger averted.

and Khabukthakar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Khabukthakar drops back looking for a leg! Ivan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ivan manages to kick Khabukthakar off! Khabukthakar jumps back into Ivan's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Khabukthakar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ivan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Khabukthakar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ivan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ivan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Khabukthakar stacks Ivan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Khabukthakar!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ivan is looking to regain half guard here but Khabukthakar keeps moving and retains side control.

Khabukthakar is squirming around, avoiding Ivan's attempts to control the action.
Grozny Ivan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Azizmullah Khabukthakar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ivan has hold of Khabukthakar's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Khabukthakar manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that's the end of the fight!
Grozny Ivan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Khabukthakar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
