Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan LeBlanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethan LeBlanc! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LeBlanc shoots in for a takedown but McCoy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. McCoy scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McCoy!

LeBlanc tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McCoy swivels and escapes. McCoy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. LeBlanc closes this distance looking for a takedown but McCoy circles away. Tony McCoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ethan LeBlanc. LeBlanc slips a jab and a cross from McCoy.

LeBlanc is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. LeBlanc postures up in McCoy's guard and throws a big left but McCoy blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. LeBlanc sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McCoy's guard. LeBlanc throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. LeBlanc missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. LeBlanc throwing shots but McCoy is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCoy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from LeBlanc. LeBlanc is trying to control the action in half guard but McCoy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. LeBlanc works his way into full mount! LeBlanc throwing strikes here but McCoy is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

McCoy is in a horrible position here. LeBlanc smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Ethan LeBlanc dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
LeBlanc fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCoy sprawls well initially but LeBlanc persists and gets the takedown into half guard. LeBlanc thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCoy's head. LeBlanc has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. LeBlanc thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing McCoy to regain full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as LeBlanc accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. LeBlanc throwing strikes but missing. LeBlanc scoring with some ground and pound. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McCoy tries to get out of the position. LeBlanc throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. LeBlanc thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. LeBlanc is stalling here. McCoy is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! LeBlanc seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McCoy has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. LeBlanc wants to control but McCoy postures up. LeBlanc defending well as McCoy loads up on a big left hand. LeBlanc looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCoy is fending him off so far but LeBlanc persists. Nope, McCoy circles away and we're back to standing. LeBlanc slips a jab and a cross from McCoy.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with LeBlanc in particular looking to stall. LeBlanc wants to pass the guard but McCoy is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tony McCoy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
