The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ismail shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Banners sprawls well. Banners wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ismail gets slowly back to his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Banners.
It looks like Carlos Ismail has been cut.
Ismail uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Banners.
Banners misses with a hook.
Ismail shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Banners as he avoids it easily.
Ismail fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Ismail. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ismail fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ismail closes the distance and clinches up with Banners, looking for a takedown. Ismail pushes Banners against the cage but Banners circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Banners changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ismail is breathing heavily.
Banners connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ismail - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
