Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kalahu Kahala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Donavan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kalahu Kahala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Donavan! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donavan swings for the body but Kahala moves out of range.
Kahala really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kahala tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Donavan swivels and escapes. Donavan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kahala. Donavan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kahala. Kahala steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Donavan. Kahala misses with a series of wild punches.
Donavan throws a series of punches but Kahala moves out of range. Kahala fails with the takedown. Donavan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kalahu Kahala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Donavan cracks Kahala with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kahala misses with a looping left. Donavan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Donavan defending well as Kahala loads up on a big left hand. Donavan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kahala ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kahala throws a combination that misses and Donavan counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kahala shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Donavan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kahala is breathing heavily. Donavan digs a good body shot into Kahala's ribs. Donavan throws a head kick that misses. Donavan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kahala. Donavan's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Donavan duly obliges. Kahala drops his hands momentarily and Donavan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Donavan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kahala to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kahala is fighting to break Donavan's control of his arms but Donavan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Donavan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kahala! Donavan controlling from the full mount. Kahala tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kahala is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kahala regains half guard. Kahala looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kahala is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. It looks like Donavan is going to stand back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kahala is looking for a sweep. Donavan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Donavan stalling away here and it's allowed Kahala to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Donavan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kahala is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Donavan is aware though and is defending well. Kahala is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Donavan is stalling in the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kahala has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Donavan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kahala shoots and misses and Kahala takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Good exchange - Donavan coming out on top. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kahala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Donavan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Kahala counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Donavan! Kahala wants to control the pace but Donavan is squirming around nicely. Kahala jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Donavan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Donavan and Kahala has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kahala tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Donavan stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Donavan sneaks back into half guard. Kahala is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kahala is keen to just control but Donavan is a slippery customer. Kahala passes the guard and advances to mount! Donavan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kahala looking to ground and pound but Donavan is blocking nicely. Donavan tries to hold on but Kahala postures up. Kahala is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Donavan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Donavan tries to hold on but Kahala pushes him away. Kahala goes for an armbar but Donavan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Donavan. Donavan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Scott Donavan. I think Donavan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
