And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Dunne!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malik shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dunne looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Malik decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
John Dunne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Malik moves into the clinch successfully.

Dunne is fighting off a takedown attempt but Malik is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dunne to the mat. Dunne regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Malik stands up from Dunne's guard - Malik perhaps looking for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malik wants to control from the top but Dunne keeps moving.

Malik decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dunne, up you get!

Malik decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dunne is staying active underneath Malik, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Malik tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dunne.

Malik is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malik decides to stand and escape the position.

Malik shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Malik prevents Dunne from standing back up.

Malik is stalling here. Dunne is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Malik seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dunne has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Malik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Malik tries to get out of the position.

Dunne is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Malik is trying to escape and Dunne transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Malik is forced to tap! Nice work there by Dunne! Very nice indeed!
