3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dmitri Tarasov! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarasov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Irvin sprawls well initially but Tarasov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Irvin is trying to stand up here but Tarasov is controlling him well. Tarasov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Irvin is looking to escape. Nice strikes from Tarasov there. Irvin is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tarasov winds up and cracks Irvin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Tarasov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tarasov prevents Irvin from standing back up.
