PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Szarakan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Frame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomasz Szarakan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Big Frame's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomasz Szarakan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Frame!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szarakan shoots for a takedown but Frame saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Frame has managed to clinch.

Frame pulls guard successfully.
Frame pulls Szarakan in close to prevent any damage.

Frame working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Szarakan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Szarakan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Szarakan is breathing heavily.
Frame is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Szarakan wants to stand but Frame is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Szarakan is stalling in the full guard.
Szarakan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Frame is trying to control the position but Szarakan postures up.
Frame is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Frame wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Szarakan sitting in guard here, content to control.
Szarakan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Szarakan is fighting to break Frame's control of his arms but Frame is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Szarakan wants to control from the top but Frame keeps moving.
Frame trying to keep a closed guard but Szarakan is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Szarakan tries to free his leg and advance position but Frame is retaining full guard.
Frame is wriggling around but Szarakan manages to pass to half guard.
Frame missing with punches from the bottom.
Frame has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Szarakan is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Frame fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Szarakan sprawls well initially but Frame persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Frame is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Szarakan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Frame.
Szarakan is not content to let Frame control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Frame dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Szarakan stuffs the takedown.
Frame has his takedown stuffed

and Szarakan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Frame won't be happy with that.
Szarakan wants to control but Frame is keeping him busy.
Frame can't do much from the bottom here.

Szarakan tries for a kimura but Frame is defending well.

Szarakan decides to stand back up. Szarakan steps back and let's Frame get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Szarakan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Szarakan wants to control but Frame is keeping him busy.
Frame takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Frame is looking for a sweep.
Frame wants to control but Szarakan postures up.
Frame is looking for a sweep.
Frame regains half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Frame tries to get to full guard but Szarakan has control of the leg.
Frame is not content to let Szarakan control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Szarakan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Frame is squirming around, avoiding Szarakan's attempts to control the action.
Frame sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Szarakan is just content to waste time from the top position. Frame takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Frame wants to sweep but no luck.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Szarakan wants to control from the top but Frame keeps moving.
Frame wants to sweep here but Szarakan controlling him for the moment.
Szarakan is fighting to break Frame's control of his arms but Frame is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Frame is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Szarakan rolls with it to try and escape but Frame cranks on the arm and Szarakan is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
