Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Conrado Moreno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Aux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Conrado Moreno has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Conrado Moreno seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Conrado Moreno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Aux! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aux fails with a takedown attempt. Moreno fails with the takedown and Aux decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Moreno's guard. Aux wants to control from the top but Moreno keeps moving. Moreno is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Aux looking to pass the guard. Moreno wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Moreno throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Aux works over Moreno with some ground and pound from guard. Aux trying to control the position from guard on top but Moreno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Moreno shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moreno has his takedown stuffed and Aux counters with a thumping low kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conrado Moreno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Aux fails with the takedown and Moreno counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Aux! Aux has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Moreno misses with a head shot. Moreno thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moreno missing with strikes from the back. Moreno is striking from the back but Aux escapes and manages to recover to half guard. Moreno wants to pass to mount but Aux is defending the position. Aux is trying to stand back up but Moreno is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moreno wants to take a breather but Aux is having none of it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Moreno shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aux counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Moreno fails with the takedown and Aux counters with a one-two to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Aux tries to clinch but fails miserably and Moreno counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Moreno wants to work for an arm triangle but Aux is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Moreno stalling away here and it's allowed Aux to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Moreno won't allow Aux to get back to his feet. Moreno wants to pass the guard but Aux is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Conrado Moreno will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Aux gets a clinch. Moreno tries to pull guard but Aux holds him up against the cage and eventually Moreno drops back down to his feet.
Moreno is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Moreno tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conrado Moreno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moreno tries for a takedown but Aux manages to get underhooks.
Aux tries to break the clinch but Moreno is controlling the position. Aux is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moreno pulls him back up using the underhooks. Moreno drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aux gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Moreno is pressed up against the cage. Aux has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Moreno down to the mat. Moreno avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Moreno misses with a takedown and Aux counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aux is working for a kimura but Moreno is defending it quite comfortably.
Aux seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aux in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Moreno tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Aux!
