The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Alves swinging wilding here.
Alves lands with a straight right. Buxley didn't see that one coming.
Rogerio Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Buxley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alves misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Buxley.
Alves fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alves throws a hook to the side of Buxley's head but Buxley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buxley takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Buxley looks to land a right hand but Alves moved out of range.
Alves lands a hook that stumbles Buxley back into the cage. Alves follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Buxley to the canvas! Alves pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Buxley has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
