Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolls Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drako Vonstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vonstein has chosen AC/DC Thunderstruck (techno) as his entrance music. Gracie has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Drako Vonstein has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rolls Gracie's chin.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drako Vonstein! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vonstein shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Vonstein passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gracie! Vonstein trying to control but he's not successful this time. Vonstein lands a big elbow. Gracie is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vonstein is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Vonstein looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Vonstein with good strikes from the mount here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vonstein scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Vonstein is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off. Gracie is bucking up trying to escape but Vonstein cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Vonstein tries to control but Gracie wriggling away. Vonstein with good strikes from the mount here! Gracie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vonstein cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Vonstein with the ground and pound from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vonstein lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The referee warns Gracie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Vonstein lands with some strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vonstein lands with some strikes. Drako Vonstein dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Vonstein shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Vonstein is proving a slippery customer.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vonstein is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Vonstein from controlling successfully. Vonstein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A big left from Vonstein misses. Vonstein shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Vonstein is stalling here. Gracie is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Vonstein seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gracie has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Vonstein's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Vonstein manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vonstein's head. Vonstein has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vonstein is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back! Vonstein is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Vonstein is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vonstein has Gracie flattened out and is raining down punches. Vonstein keeps control of the position easily here as Gracie tries to buck him off.
Vonstein lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Vonstein lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Gracie.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vonstein has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Gracie. A bit of a pause in the action here. Vonstein controlling the positon. Vonstein connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Gracie to escape the position.
Vonstein is punishing Gracie with strikes - can he finish him?! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drako Vonstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Vonstein shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gracie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gracie has momentary wrist control but Vonstein slips an elbow through the middle. Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vonstein lands a couple of decent looking shots. Vonstein lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Vonstein stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control. Vonstein controlling from side mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vonstein scores with punches from side control. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Vonstein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Gracie prevents Vonstein from moving into mount. Vonstein lands a few punches from side control. Vonstein lands a decent elbow from side control. Vonstein lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vonstein is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vonstein passes to full mount! Rolls Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vonstein lands a big shot there that rocks Gracie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Vonstein is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gracie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

And that's the end of the fight! Drako Vonstein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vonstein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
