Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Hamachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atreides comes to the cage accompanied by :-(. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Atreides! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tetsuo Hamachi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atreides scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Atreides is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hamachi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Atreides. Atreides prevents Hamachi from standing back up.
Hamachi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Atreides thows a huge punch but Hamachi dodges it nicely.
Hamachi tries to kick Atreides off but Atreides keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Atreides trying to advance position but Hamachi counters by regaining guard. Atreides advances to half guard. Atreides is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hamachi sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atreides throwing shots but Hamachi is blocking nicely. Atreides trying to pass the guard but Hamachi defending well. Atreides seems to be looking for submissions.
Atreides looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Atreides working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hamachi's thigh. Hamachi counters though and makes it back to full guard. Atreides drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hamachi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Atreides has Hamachi in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Atreides has momentary wrist control but Hamachi slips an elbow through the middle. Hamachi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hamachi preventing the sweep. Hamachi wants to control from the top but Atreides keeps moving. Atreides looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hamachi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Atreides pushes a forearm under Hamachi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hamachi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Paul Atreides!
