The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dock slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Gordon Freeman has been cut.
Freeman shoots in for a double leg but Dock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Freeman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Dock takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dock punishes Freeman's body with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Freeman tries to bum rush Dock with a series of wild strikes but Dock uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dock throws a jab but it's blocked by Freeman.
Freeman looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Dock looks to land a right hand but Freeman moved out of range.

Freeman misses with an attempted mid kick.

Dock fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Freeman on the side of the head.
Dock tests Freeman's chin there with a solid looking shot.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Freeman checks the leg kick nicely there.
Freeman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dock is fending him off so far but Freeman persists. Nope, Dock circles away and we're back to standing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Freeman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Papa Dock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Freeman.
Freeman throws a half hearted mid kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Freeman.

Dock throws a shot from downtown. Freeman moves away and avoids it.

Dock is looking to control Freeman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dock avoid being mounted?
Freeman wants to stand up but Dock manages to regain full guard.
Freeman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dock holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dock is looking for a sweep. Freeman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Freeman has his takedown stuffed
and Dock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Freeman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dock.
Freeman scores with a kick to the body.
Dock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Freeman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dock lands a nice shot to the body.
Freeman scores with a spinning back kick!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Freeman.
Freeman is breathing heavily.
Freeman tries to get to his feet but Dock is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Freeman in his guard.

Freeman drops back looking for a leg! Dock is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dock manages to kick Freeman off! Freeman jumps back into Dock's guard.

Freeman is posturing up here but Dock has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Freeman tries to roll out but it's too tight and Freeman has to tap! Slick submission there by Dock!
