Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tuyoshy Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers scores a takedown into full mount!
Rogers wants to control the pace but Dragon is squirming around nicely.
Rogers sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Rogers swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dragon is now in Rogers's guard. A big mistake from Rogers there, giving up the dominant position!
Rogers is trying to control the position but Dragon postures up.
Rogers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rogers wants to work for an arm triangle but Dragon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Rogers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dragon defends it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rogers is working for a guillotine from mount but Dragon frees his head quite easily.

Dragon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nick Rogers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rogers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dragon's waist but Dragon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rogers off to one side.

Tuyoshy Dragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Rogers.
With the fighters up against the cage, Rogers throws an elbow but misses.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dragon but Dragon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nick Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dragon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dragon wants it to stay on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dragon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rogers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dragon swivels and escapes.
Dragon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown. Dragon tries to sprawl out of it but Rogers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dragon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rogers shoots in for a double leg but Dragon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dragon moves into the clinch successfully.
Rogers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dragon prevents it.

Rogers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rogers.

Rogers is trying to get an arm triangle but Dragon is defending well.

Rogers throws an elbow but Dragon slips to the side and avoids it well.

Rogers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rogers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dragon is pushing Rogers's head away, looking to escape. Rogers manages to hold on to the position though.
Rogers is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

I think Rogers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
