Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Olivier De Troyer! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker closes the distance and clinches up with De Troyer, looking for a takedown. Baker pushes De Troyer against the cage but De Troyer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. De Troyer misses the shot to the body. De Troyer tries for a takedown but Baker circles away easily and Baker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De Troyer's guard. Baker sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baker postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baker looking to pass the guard. Baker is standing up over De Troyer. De Troyer looks to escape but Baker dives into side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Baker in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. De Troyer sneaks out the side door and pushes Baker away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. De Troyer with a lazy takedown attempt and Baker counters with a nice double leg into side control. De Troyer won't be happy with that. Baker just content to control the position.

De Troyer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. De Troyer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. De Troyer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Baker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Baker's back! Baker is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Baker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Troyer on the ground. De Troyer throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. De Troyer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Baker! Baker tries to hold on but De Troyer pushes him away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. De Troyer looking for a guillotine from mount but Baker is having none of it. De Troyer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De Troyer tries to get out of the position. Baker is in all sorts of trouble here.
