Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barny Stubbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stubbs dodges the punch combination from Cruz.

Stubbs lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cruz backs up against the cage.

Cruz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stubbs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Stubbs lands a left and a right that send Cruz crashing to the mat, dazed. Stubbs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Cruz is rocked!

Cruz is still on wobbly legs! Can Stubbs finish him?
Cruz walks straight into a right hand from Stubbs - that's dropped him! Stubbs jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Cruz from any more punishment! Cruz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
