Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kris Killa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Killa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shook ones. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kris Killa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano Schoots!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Schoots is trying to stand back up but Killa is controlling him
Killa trying to control the action but Schoots is working from the bottom.

Killa wants to control but Schoots is keeping him busy.
Schoots trying to hold on to Killa's head to control him but Killa postures up.

Killa is working for a kimura but Schoots is defending it quite comfortably.
Killa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schoots keeps working.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schoots can do anything to dispel that myth.

Killa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Killa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Schoots to the mat! Schoots manages to get full guard.
Schoots wants to get back to his feet but Killa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Killa has gone for a leg lock! Schoots slips out almost immediately though and dives into Killa's guard.
Killa is breathing heavily.
Killa wants to stand up but Schoots is controlling him.
Schoots in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Schoots stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Killa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Killa scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Killa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schoots's waist but Schoots gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Killa off to one side.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Schoots throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Killa misses with a double jab

That was a close round but I would say that Kris Killa will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Schoots throws out a powerful jab.
Schoots throws an overhand right that lands on Killa's shoulder, as Killa tries to avoid the shot.

Killa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Killa lands in his opponent's guard.

Schoots tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Schoots wants to stand but Killa is controlling the position.

Schoots lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Killa circles away quickly and effectively.
Killa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Schoots on the side of the head.
Schoots throws out a loose jab but Killa uses good head movement to avoid it.
Killa throws the left hand but Schoots avoids the punch easily.
Schoots throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Killa misses with a combination
and Schoots counters with a nice uppercut.
Schoots throws a lazy right hand but Killa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Schoots has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Romano Schoots has been cut.
Schoots loads up on a big right hand but Killa slips the punch.

Killa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Killa showed some decent athleticism there.

Killa lands strikes from half guard.

Killa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Schoots doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Killa.

Romano Schoots seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Schoots lunges at Killa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Killa's hand.
Schoots looks to score with a jab to the body but Killa is just out of range.

Killa moves away from the strike by Schoots.
Killa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schoots tries to avoid it but Killa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schoots to the ground. Schoots escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Schoots takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Schoots throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice takedown defense from Schoots. No joy for Killa on that attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

No joy there for Killa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Schoots wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Killa is rocked!
Kris Killa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Killa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Schoots connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Killa tumbling to the canvas! Schoots pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Killa was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Romano Schoots!
