Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinuri looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hinuri thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hinuri trying to control the position from guard on top but Shamrock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Shamrock wants to stand up but Hinuri is controlling him.

Hinuri drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hinuri jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shamrock controls Hinuri momentarily but Hinuri frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hinuri moves in looking to clinch but Shamrock pushes him off.
Shamrock clinches up against the ropes.

Shamrock is trying to break the clinch but Hinuri is controlling him.
Shamrock takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Frank Shamrock has been cut.
Hinuri unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Hinuri lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Hinuri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hinuri closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shamrock to the mat! Shamrock manages to get full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Shamrock lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hinuri!
Shamrock avoids the attempt from Hinuri to control.
Hinuri is looking to get to half guard.
Shamrock throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Hinuri sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Shamrock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hinuri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shamrock has managed to get both his arms back between Hinuri's legs - danger averted.

Hinuri will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hinuri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shamrock is fending him off so far but Hinuri persists. Nope, Shamrock circles away and we're back to standing.
Hinuri shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Hinuri looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hinuri throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Shamrock has his hands clasped together but Hinuri breaks the hold and Shamrock is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hinuri!
