Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Boombatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Boombatz!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Boombatz or perhaps it was just good defense by Hall which made him look bad.
Boombatz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hall but Hall pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boombatz to the mat! Boombatz manages to get full guard.
Hall wanted to stand there but Boombatz had control of the position.

Hall drops back looking for a leg! Boombatz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boombatz manages to kick Hall off! Hall jumps back into Boombatz's guard.
Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Boombatz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hall decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Boombatz shoots and misses

and Hall counters with a shoot takedown. Boombatz fights it but they end up in guard.
Jesse Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Boombatz.
Hall is breathing heavily.

Boombatz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Boombatz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Boombatz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Boombatz tries to get to full guard but Hall has control of the leg.

Boombatz makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Boombatz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hall counters with a stiff right hand.
Boombatz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head kick misses from Boombatz.
Boombatz fails to land the takedown.
Hall shoots in looking for a takedown. Boombatz tries to sprawl out of it but Hall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boombatz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boombatz throws a series of punches but Hall avoids them all with ease.
Boombatz tries to clinch but Hall is having none of it.
Boombatz misses with a low kick.
Boombatz fails to land the takedown.

Hall clinches up against the cage.
Boombatz is trying to break free.
Hall lands an elbow just above Boombatz 's eye.

Hall lands an elbow inside.
Hall tries for a takedown but Boombatz manages to get underhooks.
Boombatz lands a hook to the side of the head.
Boombatz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boombatz stops a takedown attempt from Hall.

Hall has hold of one of Boombatz's legs. Boombatz is fighting the takedown attempt but Hall gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Hall advances to half guard.
Boombatz is looking to control Hall's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boombatz avoid being mounted?

Hall wants to work for an arm triangle but Boombatz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Boombatz gets back to full guard.
Hall prevents Boombatz from getting back to his feet.
Hall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hall drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boombatz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boombatz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boombatz!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boombatz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse Hall dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Boombatz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boombatz, pushing him back against the cage.
Hall drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boombatz prevents the takedown attempt.
Boombatz fails to pull guard.
Boombatz lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Boombatz wants a takedown.
Jesse Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Boombatz.

Boombatz decides to pull guard.
Boombatz is trying to control the position but Hall postures up.

Hall postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boombatz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hall, into his guard.

Boombatz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Boombatz wants to pass the guard but Hall is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hall isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Boombatz stacks Hall on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Boombatz!
Hall is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Boombatz is controlling him well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Hall is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

and Hall moves into the clinch.

Boombatz jumps guard but Hall stands there with Boombatz around his waist. Boombatz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Boombatz just stands there and leans against the cage.
Boombatz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hall prevents it.
Boombatz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hall.
Come on Hall - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Hall is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Boombatz can't fight it off and eventually Hall manages to take the fight to the floor. Boombatz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hall drops back looking for a leg! Boombatz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boombatz manages to kick Hall off! Hall jumps back into Boombatz's guard.

Boombatz manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Boombatz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hall is fending him off so far but Boombatz persists. Nope, Hall circles away and we're back to standing.

Boombatz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boombatz stuffs the takedown attempt from Hall. Hall gets slowly back to his feet.

Hall is trying to control Boombatz's posture but Boombatz avoids it.

Jesse Hall dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Hall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boombatz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Boombatz regains full guard. Nicely done.
Hall wants to stand but Boombatz is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hall stands and steps away. Boombatz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hall wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boombatz, who protects the arm well.
Boombatz parries the strikes from Hall easily there. Hall is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boombatz to escape.

Boombatz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hall off and has taken his back!

Boombatz patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Hall staying busy and making it hard for Boombatz to control.
Hall breaks Boombatz's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Boombatz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hall has passed into half guard!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hall connects with a nice short shot to Boombatz's temple.
Boombatz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Boombatz is looking to stand up but Hall isn't so interested in that idea.

Boombatz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Boombatz wants to sweep but no luck.
Hall postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hall gets to his feet. Boombatz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Boombatz misses with a head kick.
Hall looks for a takedown but Boombatz sprawls well.
Boombatz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hall lands a left and a right that sends Boombatz crashing to the canvas! Hall dives into mount looking to finish!

Boombatz is still in real trouble! Can Hall finish him?
Boombatz gets back to half guard.
Hall prevents Boombatz from improving his position.
Boombatz seems to have recovered his senses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Boombatz throws a sloppy head kick and Hall moves out of range easily.

Hall gets the takedown into side control.
Bobby Boombatz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boombatz tries to buck Hall off but Hall is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jesse Hall showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
