Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ric Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Takata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiger comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ric Tiger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Takata! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takata tries to clinch up. Takata misses with a two punch combination.
Takata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Takata goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Takata is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Takata is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tiger scoring well with a low kick there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takata lands a high kick!
Tiger misses with a low kick as Takata jumps back. Tiger tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Takata holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger jumps guard.
Tiger wants to stand and escape but Takata is having none of it. Tiger pulls Takata in close to prevent any damage. Tiger wants to stand and escape but Takata is having none of it. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Takata jabbing away but nothing is landing. Takata misses with a body shot.
Tiger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Takata shoots for a takedown but Tiger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tiger has his takedown stuffed and Takata counters with a good, hard body kick but Tiger shrugs it off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Takata is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Takata manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Takata can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tiger is looking to escape. Tiger is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger is breathing heavily. Takata is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tiger to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tiger shrugs it off. You get the feeling that Tiger really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tiger is squirming around, avoiding Takata's attempts to control the action. Tiger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Takata putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tiger throwing hammer fists to the chest of Takata. What's that going to do exactly? Takata wants to control the pace but Tiger is squirming around nicely. Tiger swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ric Tiger dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Takata closes the distance looking to clinch and Tiger counters with a solid body kick. Takata with a lazy takedown attempt and Tiger counters with a single leg into guard. Takata didn't expect that. Tiger wants to control from the top but Takata keeps moving. Tiger scoring with some ground and pound. Tiger gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ric Tiger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Takata is breathing heavily. Takata has his takedown stuffed and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Takata trying to hold on to Tiger's head to control him but Tiger postures up.
Tiger lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Tiger is working for a kimura but Takata is defending it quite comfortably.
Tiger throws a strike but Takata avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger trying to control the position from guard on top but Takata is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tiger gets to his feet - Takata follows without any prompting. Takata blocks a leg kick. Takata tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tiger swats him away and circles back towards the center. Takata throws a head kick that misses and Tiger makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Tiger throws a lazy head kick and Takata counters with a nice body kick. Tiger is looking to clinch but Takata is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Takata gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tiger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

A slapping body kick lands there for Takata. Tiger throws a half hearted mid kick. Takata clinches up with Tiger and pushes him back against the cage. Takata is working for takedown but Tiger is calmly controlling the position for now. Ric Tiger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Takata. Tiger breaks from the clinch.
Tiger throws a head kick that misses. Tiger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takata was covering up waiting for the punch and Tiger finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Takata's head. Tiger stands up and waves to Takata to follow him. Tiger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Tiger looks for a takedown but Takata sprawls well. Tiger is looking to clinch but Takata is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ric Tiger dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Takata looks for a takedown but Tiger sprawls well. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Takata checks a leg kick. Tiger avoids the body shot from Takata.

Takata wants to sweep here but Tiger controlling him for the moment. Tiger gets to his feet - Takata follows without any prompting. Tiger shoots and misses and Takata counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Tiger throws a quick inside leg kick. Tiger tries to close the distance and clinch but Takata swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Takata throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger throws a sloppy head kick and Takata moves out of range easily. Tiger takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Takata shoots in for a takedown but Tiger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tiger misses with a takedown attempt and Takata counters with a head kick. That will keep Tiger thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Takata lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tiger circles away quickly and effectively. Tiger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ric Tiger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Takata. Tiger lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takata's sensitive parts.

Tiger gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Takata to counter with a crisp jab. Tiger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Takata sprawls well. Takata wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tiger gets slowly back to his feet. Tiger tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tiger finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Takata falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tiger counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Takata! Tiger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Takata can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tiger with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Yoshi Takata has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ric Tiger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tiger avoids the attempt from Takata to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Ric Tiger showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tiger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
