Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taika Lono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Moses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taika Lono has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Taika Lono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Moses! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moses shoots in but no luck this time. Moses fails with a takedown attempt. Moses shoots for a takedown but Lono saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Taika Lono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Moses. Moses drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lono is trying to get back to half guard. Lono is working to avoid the ground and pound but Moses connects with a decent elbow. Lono tries to buck Moses off but Moses is having none of it. Moses cracks Lono with a big elbow. Lono can't do much from the bottom here. Lono is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Moses is working Lono over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moses throws an elbow but Lono slips to the side and avoids it well. Moses postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Moses throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Moses working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Moses trying to control the action but Lono is working from the bottom. Lono is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moses tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Moses has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lono wants to control but Moses postures up. Lono knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moses on the ground. Moses goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lono rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moses's guard! Nice work there by Lono!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Moses wants to sweep but no luck. Moses is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lono is aware though and is defending well. Lono slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Moses looking for a sweep. Not yet Moses, not yet. Moses is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lono has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Moses looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lono is one step ahead there. Moses looks gassed! Moses will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lono is trying to get an arm triangle but Moses is defending well. Lono will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Moses is looking to regain half guard here but Lono keeps moving and retains side control. Lono really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lono decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moses to his feet. Lono misses the shot to the body. Lono fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Moses dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Horrible takedown by Moses or perhaps it was just good defense by Lono which made him look bad. Lono displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moses. Lono throws a hook to the side of Moses's head but Moses sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Moses shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lono napping and manages to drive through into side control! Moses grinds an elbow into Lono's temple. Lono is not content to let Moses control the position. Lono dodges the ground and pound from Moses. Lono avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Moses. Moses lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lono down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moses is looking to take a break and control but Lono is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Moses working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Moses is trying to get an arm triangle but Lono is defending well. Lono pushes Moses away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Moses gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Moses throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Moses is looking to take a break and control but Lono is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Moses shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lono as he jumps to the side. Taika Lono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Moses. Moses is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lono. Lono scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Lono uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Moses tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lono swivels and escapes. Lono wants to clinch up but Moses keeps it at a distance. Moses fails with a takedown attempt. Moses shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lono throws a hook to the side of Moses's head but Moses sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Mark Moses seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moses shoots in but no luck this time. Moses looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lono is fending him off so far but Moses persists. Nope, Lono circles away and we're back to standing. Moses is breathing heavily. Moses shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lono pinned against the cage. Lono gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Taika Lono is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lono misses with a wild body shot. A big left from Lono misses. Moses changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lono tries to avoid it but Moses manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lono to the ground. Lono escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lono is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Lono connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Moses circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lono wants to clinch. Lono looks to land a right hand but Moses moved out of range. Moses shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lono but Lono pushes him off and we're back to square one. Moses shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lono defends it nicely. Moses fails to land the takedown. Lono scores with a nice right hand.
A big left from Lono misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taika Lono dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Lono throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moses. Moses will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lono misses with a double jab.
Moses closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lono circles away. Nice takedown defense from Lono. No joy for Moses on that attempt. Taika Lono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Moses. Moses swats away the attempt to clinch by Lono. Lono connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Nice sprawl there from Lono as Moses shoots in. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lono looks to land a right hand but Moses moved out of range. Moses shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lono as he avoids it easily. Lono scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Moses takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Moses on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moses fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lono jabs Moses right on the nose. Moses blinks but takes it well. Moses has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Moses there as he acknowledges the shot. Lono displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moses. Lono connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Lono swings for the body but Moses moves out of range.
Lono paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Lono stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lono wants it to stay on the feet. Lono fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Moses slips under a jab. Moses fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Moses takes a body punch but keeps moving. Lono with a nice cross. Moses on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Lono scores with a nice right hand.
Moses looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Moses takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lono cracks Moses with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Lono leaves Moses with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lono throws a series of punches but Moses avoids them all with ease. Lono throws an overhand right that lands on Moses's shoulder, as Moses tries to avoid the shot. Nice straight punches there by Lono. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lono. Lono digs a good hook to Moses's body.
Moses ducks under a wild hook from Lono. Moses shoots for a takedown but Lono saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lono lands a nice shot that snaps Moses's head back.

Moses moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lono scores with a sloppy right hand. Moses should have avoided that one. A left and a right from Lono both land. Nice combination. Moses fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lono avoids it really well and circles away. Lono throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moses stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Good shot there by Lono. Lono with a body punch. A glancing blow. Moses slips a jab from Lono. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moses looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lono! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Moses cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that's the end of the fight! Taika Lono showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lono has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
