The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Coleman finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there.
Coleman advances to half guard.
Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coleman.
Coleman is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Coleman to the mat! Coleman manages to get full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
