Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcell Brice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, AJ Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcell Brice!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Brice.

Brice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Brice trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wilson manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Brice gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Brice has one foot on Wilson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fight stays on the outside here - Brice looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brice thows a leg kick but Wilson checks it
and Wilson counters with a head kick. That will keep Brice thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Wilson darts in and clinches Brice up against the cage.
Brice tries to score a body lock takedown but Wilson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brice takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wilson connects with a nice short shot to Brice's temple.

Wilson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brice does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wilson shoots in for a double leg but Brice sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Brice wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Brice closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Wilson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wilson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Brice asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Wilson pushes Brice away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brice gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Brice got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wilson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brice has managed to get both his arms back between Wilson's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Brice shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Brice's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
