Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spike Callan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alistair Ubereem!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ubereem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ubereem should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ubereem fails to land with a series of punches.

Callan gets a clinch.
Ubereem stops a takedown attempt from Callan.
Callan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ubereem gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Callan lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ubereem misses with a knee strike.
A knee to the head by Ubereem.
Ubereem misses with a knee strike.
Callan wants to get back to striking at distance but Ubereem won't allow it.
Callan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Callan wants to get back to his feet but Ubereem is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ubereem tries to free his leg and advance position but Callan is retaining full guard.
Callan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Callan wants to stand and escape but Ubereem is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ubereem tries to bum rush Callan with a series of wild strikes but Callan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Callan shoots in for a double leg but Ubereem sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Callan counters with a single leg into guard. Ubereem didn't expect that.
Callan is breathing heavily.

Callan tries to free his leg and advance position but Ubereem is retaining full guard.

Callan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ubereem looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ubereem looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ubereem!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Callan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ubereem asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Callan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ubereem off and has taken his back!

Callan is striking from the back but Ubereem escapes and manages to recover to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spike Callan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Callan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ubereem avoids the body shot from Callan.
Callan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Callan shoots in for a double leg but Ubereem sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Callan keeps the fight on the outside.
Ubereem tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Callan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ubereem won't be happy with that.

Callan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ubereem has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ubereem defending against the ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ubereem tries to buck Callan off but Callan is having none of it.
Callan grinds an elbow into Ubereem's temple.
Ubereem tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Callan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Ubereem wants to control but Callan postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Callan swings around for an armbar but Ubereem sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Callan's guard.
Ubereem stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Callan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ubereem stands and steps away. Callan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Callan fails with a takedown attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ubereem looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ubereem clinches up with Callan and pushes him back against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ubereem unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Ubereem landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Ubereem tries to land a knee to the head but Callan blocks with his arms.

Callan tightens his grip and picks Ubereem up, before dumping him to the ground. Ubereem manages to land in guard.
Callan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Callan looking to sit in guard and control but Ubereem gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ubereem stands and steps away. Callan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Spike Callan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Callan misses with a takedown attempt - Ubereem sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spike Callan dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Ubereem drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Callan is on top in guard.

Callan has gone for a leg lock! Ubereem slips out almost immediately though and dives into Callan's guard.

Callan wants to stand and escape but Ubereem is having none of it.
Ubereem distracts Callan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Callan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ubereem landing with the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Callan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Ubereem sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Callan's guard.
Callan is trying to control but can't.
Ubereem seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Callan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ubereem's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ubereem's back!
Ubereem looking very determined here, making life difficult for Callan.
Ubereem covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Callan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Ubereem.
Ubereem is taking damage to the body and head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ubereem covers up after that shot from Callan.
Callan scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Will Callan go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Callan has Ubereem flattened out and is raining down punches.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Alistair Ubereem.
I think Callan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
