The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Harper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mota as he avoids it easily.
Mota tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mota clinches up with Harper and pushes him back against the cage.
Mota pulls Harper into guard.
Harper trying to control but Mota is working from the bottom.
Mota wants to stand up but Harper is controlling him.
Harper looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harper wants to control from the top but Mota keeps moving.

Mota is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mota bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harper is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mota's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Harper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mota is sitting in close to Harper's body. Harper has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mota is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mota is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Harper.
