Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Weiner Whipple!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Pretao Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails to land the takedown.
Silva looks for a takedown but Whipple sprawls well.
Silva dives in and grabs Whipple's left leg, looking for a takedown. Whipple pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Weiner Whipple has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joao Pretao Silva.
Whipple keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Whipple, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Whipple against the cage but Whipple circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Whipple.
Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Whipple has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Whipple's legs - danger averted.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Whipple is retaining full guard.

Silva looking to improve position, pressing down on Whipple's thigh with his hand. Whipple seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Silva paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Silva's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Whipple picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
