Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Skaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dre Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Lose my mind By: DMX as his entrance music. The key to victory for Alex Skaar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Skaar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dre Jackson! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skaar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Skaar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Skaar striking off his back but it's not causing Jackson any problems. Skaar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jackson wants to stand but Skaar is controlling his posture from full guard. Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Skaar has wrist control. Skaar is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Jackson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Skaar regains full guard. Nicely done. Skaar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jackson is trying desperately to improve position. Jackson looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Skaar trying to control momentarily.
Jackson trying to control the hands but Skaar breaks the grip. Skaar controls the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to escape but Skaar has the hooks in and won't let him break free. A lull in the action here.
Skaar is trying to stick to Jackson's back but Jackson is turning into Skaar. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Skaar's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jackson. Jackson won't allow Skaar to get back to his feet. Jackson stands and throws Skaar's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jackson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Skaar to see if he's OK. You can see the frustration on Skaar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Skaar get back to his feet. Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Skaar pinned against the cage. Skaar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Skaar fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Skaar, pushing him back against the cage. Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Skaar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Skaar misses with a takedown and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Skaar fights it but they end up in guard. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skaar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Skaar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Skaar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Skaar looking for a sweep. Not yet Skaar, not yet. Skaar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson wants to control from the top but Skaar keeps moving. Skaar trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skaar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Skaar trying to control from the bottom.
Skaar works his way to full guard. Good work. Skaar trying to keep a closed guard but Jackson is proving a slippery customer.
Skaar pulls Jackson in close to prevent any damage. Jackson won't allow Skaar to sweep him here. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Skaar is keeping the position. Skaar throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dre Jackson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Skaar misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Skaar won't be happy with that. Jackson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Skaar! Jackson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Skaar has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Skaar! Jackson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Jackson wants to control but Skaar passes easily into half guard.
Jackson is staying active underneath Skaar, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dre Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Skaar stops Jackson from getting back to his feet.
Skaar lands strikes from half guard. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Skaar has control of the leg. Jackson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Skaar connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple. Skaar thows a huge punch but Jackson dodges it nicely.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jackson drives through and clinches with Skaar against the cage.
Skaar can't break the clinch.
Skaar gets underhooks to prevent Jackson's takedown attempt.
Skaar tries for a takedown but Jackson manages to get underhooks.
Skaar is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Skaar prevents a takedown attempt there.
Skaar has had enough of the clinch but Jackson keeps him there for the moment. A head punch on the inside from Jackson fails to land. Skaar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Skaar lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Skaar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Skaar content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to sweep but Skaar has passed to side control! Jackson is trying to control Skaar's posture but Skaar avoids it. Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Skaar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Jackson tries to hold on but Skaar postures up. Skaar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape. Skaar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jackson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skaar scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jackson?

Jackson is striking off his back. Skaar thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Jackson is pressing down on Skaar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Skaar wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Jackson keeping full guard, as Skaar tries to pass. Jackson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jackson pushes Skaar off and gets back to his feet.

Skaar clinches but Jackson breaks the clinch and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Skaar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace. Skaar throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jackson uses it to pass to side control.
Skaar takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Skaar struggling a bit here. Skaar is looking to reverse the position. Skaar is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jackson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Skaar is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jackson decides to return to a standing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skaar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Skaar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jackson wants to improve his position but Skaar is controlling well.
Skaar wants to stand up but Jackson has a hold of him and won't allow it. Jackson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Skaar trying to pass the guard but Jackson defending well. Jackson wants to control but Skaar is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skaar performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Jackson gets back to full guard.
Skaar passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Skaar wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position. Jackson tries to roll over but Skaar keeps him under control. Jackson is pressing down on Skaar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Skaar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jackson is trying to keep Skaar in close.

Skaar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Skaar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jackson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Skaar! Skaar tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Skaar is looking to escape. Jackson avoids the attempt from Skaar to control. Skaar is looking to get to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dre Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
