Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bashir Saladin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sorachi Iwamizawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bashir Saladin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sorachi Iwamizawa! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iwamizawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Saladin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Iwamizawa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Iwamizawa on the wrong end of a nice hook. Iwamizawa throws a half hearted mid kick. Iwamizawa gets the takedown into side control. Iwamizawa working the ground and pound but Saladin is defending the strikes. Iwamizawa with the ground and pound but Saladin regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Iwamizawa missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Iwamizawa is controlling the pace.
Iwamizawa is trying to control the action in half guard but Saladin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Iwamizawa trying to mount his opponent but Saladin defends it. Saladin is staying active underneath Iwamizawa, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Iwamizawa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Saladin digs a good body shot into Iwamizawa's ribs. Iwamizawa looks gassed! Iwamizawa on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Saladin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Iwamizawa. Iwamizawa looks to land a body kick but Saladin moved away. Saladin connects with a high kick. Saladin works Iwamizawa's body with a nice hook. Bashir Saladin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saladin lands a left and a right that send Iwamizawa crashing to the mat, dazed. Saladin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Iwamizawa is rocked! Saladin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Iwamizawa. Saladin closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Iwamizawa out cold! Iwamizawa corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bashir Saladin!
