The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie scores a takedown into full mount!
Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Santa manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Gracie tries for a kimura but Santa is defending well.
Santa tries to improve position but can't.
Gracie tries to advance to mount but can't.
Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Santa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Santa tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.
Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gracie passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Santa!
Gracie looks gassed!
Santa is trying to escape the mount.
Santa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Santa tries to get out of the position.

Gracie has hold of Santa's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Santa tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Santa screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Santa, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
