Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taylor Made! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Made tries to work over Kent's front leg with a kick but Kent checks it. Made gets a clinch. A short right from Made. Kent is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kent manages to break the clinch.
Kent leaves Made with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A big left from Kent misses. Kent looks to score with a jab to the body but Made is just out of range. Kent lands a jab to Made's midsection. Made misses the shot to the body. Kent swats away the attempt to clinch by Made. Kent misses with a wild body shot. Kent swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kent connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Made uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Kent throws the left hand but Made avoids the punch easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Made. Made connects with the punch. Kent connects with a looping right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Made takes the fight into the clinch. Kent misses with some punches.
Made is working Kent over against the cage. Kent pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kent takes a swing at Made's ribcage but misses. Kent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kent lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Made at a distance.
Made uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kent. Made scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kent uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Made has time to react. Made uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Made's corner calls for a 1-2. Made obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Made avoids the body shot from Kent.
Kent is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Made rather than just go for the knockout. Kent misses with a shot to the body and Made counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kent's guard now. Made wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving. Kent keeping full guard, as Made tries to pass. Made working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kent's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kent looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kent utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kent is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Made rolls with it to try and escape but Kent cranks on the arm and Made is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
