Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aukanai i Kalua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kage has chosen "Warriors" by Kymani Marley as his entrance music. Aukanai i Kalua has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Kage, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Horrible takedown by Kalua or perhaps it was just good defense by Kage which made him look bad. Kalua shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kage is trying to escape the mount.
Kage is trying to stand. Kage is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalua trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kage slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kage works his way to full guard. Good work. Kage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kalua is one step ahead there. Kage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kalua is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kage has Kalua pulled in close to control his posture. Kalua would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kalua stopping the sweep attempt from Kage. Kage has control of Kalua's left arm, preventing Kalua from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kage is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kalua would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kage works over Kalua's head and body with a nice combination. Kalua fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kalua is breathing heavily. Kalua is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kage sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aukanai i Kalua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kalua looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kalua tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Kage moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kage controlling the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kage scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Luke Kage will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kage fails to land with a series of punches.
Kage slaps away a takedown attempt from Kalua, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kage gets the takedown into side control. Kage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kalua has escaped the position, nice work there. Kalua knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kage on the ground. Kalua takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kalua is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Kage is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Kage wants to finish this one by submission but Kalua is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kage prevents Kalua from getting the reversal. Luke Kage has got the better of the ground game so far. BOOM! Kage connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kage breaks from Kalua's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kage postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kalua looks a forlorn figure.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kage working Kalua over with strikes here.
Kalua is rocked! Kage lands a big shot there that rocks Kalua but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Kalua is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kalua tries to lock up and control but Kage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kalua seems to have got his legs back now. Kage scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kalua?

Kage lands a nice shot to the head. Kage lands with some strikes. Kalua keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kage drops a big elbow. That's hurt Kalua! More shots from Kage and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
