PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zek Weknok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Zek Weknok has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zek Weknok seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weknok takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Weknok ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Weknok no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Weknok is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Weknok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Weknok pulls Masters in close to his closed guard and prevents Masters from doing any damage or advancing position.

Weknok is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Masters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Weknok.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Zek Weknok will probably get the nod.

Masters lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Weknok has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Masters uses from the top position.
