Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Bennet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Earl Bennet! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennet doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bennet looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range. Bennet misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jackson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bennet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away. Jackson misses the shot to the body. Earl Bennet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennet fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Bennet shoots in. Bennet looks gassed!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jackson throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bennet to the mat! Bennet manages to get full guard. Bennet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bennet seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Bennet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bennet is pulling down on Jackson's head to control his posture.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bennet throws a big shot that misses. Bennet dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Bennet throws a combination that misses and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bennet won't be happy with that. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bennet struggling a bit here. Jackson landing a few strikes. Jackson working the ground and pound but Bennet is defending the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bennet shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bennet showed some decent athleticism there. Jackson tries to roll over but Bennet keeps him under control. Bennet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bennet is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jackson's head. Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bennet postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Bennet throws a big right hand that misses. Bennet is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jackson wants to stand but Bennet is controlling the position. Jackson wants to sweep here but Bennet controlling him for the moment. Jackson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Jackson avoids the attempt from Bennet to control. Jackson cracks Bennet with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jackson is landing with some decent strikes but Bennet is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jackson postures up in Bennet's guard and throws a big left but Bennet blocks it. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bennet swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bennet holds on and takes a little breather. Jackson preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A slow jab from Jackson misses its intended target. Bennet checks a leg kick nicely. Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bennet was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson. Jackson is looking to wear down Bennet with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Earl Bennet has been cut. Bennet takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bennet is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Jackson landing with the ground and pound.
